Getting to Know Jerry Yu
Jerry Yu Attorney, Senior Associate at KPMG, is truly a man of notable accomplishments. He is currently a resident of the state of Washington, and his family and friends know him to not only be a humble man of the highest integrity, but who also has a mile long list of achievements tucked under his belt.
Being part of the well-known KPMG LLP, which deals with tax, audit and advisory services, is proof of the kind of talent that lies behind the name. If you really look at the list of accomplishments that Jerry Yu has, you will think that excellent and great are very simple terms in comparison with the extensive and amazing things that he has achieved so far in his life.
Awards
During his time at the University of California at Berkeley, he earned the prestigious Dean's Honors list due to his outstanding academic performance. Jerry earned his B.A. in Political Science graduating with Honors, and then obtaining not only a Juris Doctorate, but TWO master's degrees from the University of Washington School of Law. He is also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honours Society, the Golden Key International Honours Society, and the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International, all of which he is held at high esteem.
These jaw-dropping academic triumphs did not just start when he was in college and in graduate school. This talented man was a shining example even as a teenager. He was able to achieve acclaim in public speaking, namely Original Oratory and Lincoln-Douglas Debate. For example, at the Cal-Poly University Invitational, he was one of the semifinalists in oratory, then was the top speaker of Lincoln Douglas debate, at the Stanford University Invitational Speech and Debate Tournament.
He also won 1st Place in Lincoln Douglas debate at the Skyline College Spring Speech Invitational, as well as earning another Lincoln Douglas debate Speaker Award, this time at the University of California-Berkeley Invitational.
He also achieved the following awards during his tenure at Theisen Junior High School in Fond du Lac, WI.

· He also was awarded the status of Champion for the Current Events Tournament for three consecutive years.
He was also an Award Participant through the University of Washington Graduate Programs Student Exchange Program, and studied at the world-renowned National Taiwan University School of Law in Taipei, Taiwan. His education abroad also included being a participant through the University of California Education Abroad Program at Nankai University in Tianjin, P.R. China. Finally, he also was a participant of the Overseas Chinese Youth Language Training and Study Tour to the Republic of China, studying at National Taiwan Ocean University in Keelung, Taiwan.
With the many achievements and accomplishments that he has in his life, Jerry Yu finds joy in teaching students in preparing for their SAT’s. He also takes pride in tutoring and mentoring kids who need his help. In his spare time, Jerry Yu volunteers at assisted living homes, sharing his piano-playing talent with those who suffer from Alzheimer's and dementia.
